$54,054.89 Raised Through The Sales Of Iconic Toyota Hats And Limited-Edition Pins At The 2025 Toyota Tamworth Country Music Festival

February 10, 2025

Thousands of festival-goers attending the 2025 Toyota Tamworth Country Music Festival have generously donated towards local for purpose organisation, Sora Community Services, raising an outstanding $54,054.89 as Toyota Australia’s official festival charity partner.

The amount raised came from the sale of Toyota Australia’s iconic hats, available for $3, and limited-edition pins for $5, that were available to purchase at the Toyota Zone across the 10-days, with all funds going directly to Sora Community Services.

Country music fans were treated to two special appearances from The Wiggles™ at the Toyota Zone selling Wiggle inspired coloured banded hats, which drew crowds looking to meet the popular children’s band and add the limited-edition hat to their collection.

Toyota Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Vin Naidoo, said that the support shown from the Tamworth Festival community towards Sora Community Services has been incredible.

“This year festivalgoers have helped support an incredible organisation that provides vital services to vulnerable people within the local Tamworth community through the sales of Toyota hats and pins,” Mr Naidoo said.

“We are extremely proud of the amount raised that will help fund 22 different programs Sora Community Services provide, ranging from preventative to crisis support for individuals, families and the New England Northwest communities.”

“The addition of The Wiggles™ attending the Toyota Zone was fantastic for families to come down and purchase one of the brightly coloured Wiggles inspired hats and contribute to such a worthy organisation.”

Sora Community Services CEO Belinda Kotris said the Toyota hats and pins are a fantastic initiative and one that is very symbolic to the festival.

“At Sora we provide support to more than 11,000 individuals, including 500 families across New England Northwest of New South Wales, Mrs Kotris said

“We are very grateful to the partnership with Toyota and the support of Tamworth community during the festival to help raise funds that will allow us to go the extra step with our services and help end the cycle of homelessness, and domestic and family violence.”
